The Centre for glaciology and geology

The Centre for glaciology and geology – in the ‘Le Cairn' building – will present visitors with an accurate yet entertaining analysis of the alpine environment.

A permanent exhibition will be organized on four levels. This presentation will be put together using modern materials and multimedia techniques, as will the Centre for documentation and research, an extremely important part of the project.

The building will also host temporary exhibitions.

Designed as a sort of counterpoint to the historical presence of the Maison de Ribaupierre, the Centre for glaciology and geology will feature the innovative architecture of François Roche.
