The centre for documentation

A centre for documentation will be set up in the basement of the Centre for glaciology and geology at Evolène.

This centre will be a real library, collating all the research material about the region in the domain of earth sciences. To this end, a partnership agreement has already been established between the ‘Alpine House' Foundation and:

• The Institute of Geography of the University of Lausanne
• The ‘Climatic Change and Climatic Impacts' (C3i) and the F. A. Forel Institutes at the University of Geneva

This document centre will be a valuable source of information for researchers. Its presence, complementing the skills and knowledge that are being focused on the Le Cairn project, will undoubtedly lead to a renewed research emphasis on the region in articles, theses, and dissertations.
